What the hell is "Outshine the Brides?"
Exactly what you think it means! We aren’t huge fans of the traditional wedding rules, so we want you to look just as special as us. Wear that outfit in the back of your closet that you never get the chance to pull out. Feathers, sequins, denim, silk, full-length ball gown, miniskirt, body glitter, face paint, tuxedo, track suit, heels, sneakers, Halloween attire, your old wedding dress. No colors, cuts, or costumes are off-limits. Come ready to WOW in whatever makes you feel good!
If this is still a strange concept, see some inspiration as compiled by Erin, here: https://www.pinterest.com/codasevents/alida-%2B-erin-what-to-wear/
Can I bring a date? What about my children?
While we would love to accommodate everyone, we have limited space at the venue. Please refer to your invite or look up your name under the RSVP function to view the number in your party. If there are any additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Looking for the registry?
Your presence is more than enough, no gifts expected. If you would like to make a gift, please consider donating to a local St. Louis cause. A few of our favorites are listed on the registry page.
I have dietary restrictions, are you going to feed me?
As the person with a laundry list of allergies, Alida feels your pain. Please include any dietary restrictions on your RSVP and we will make sure there are appropriate options.
What is with the weather in St. Louis?
We don't get it either-- late spring in St. Louis can be beautiful, hot, stormy, or anything in-between. Friday's food trucks will have both indoor and outdoor space, and Saturday's events will be entirely indoors. Check your weather apps in advance!
Getting to the events
Round trip transportation for our out-of-town friends and family will be provided from the listed hotels to both the Friday food trucks and Saturday wedding. On Friday this will involve Uber vouchers for transportation at your leisure and on Saturday shuttles will run between the designated hotels and venues for the duration of the events.
If you are driving, street parking is available on Friday and in the Straub's parking lot across from Olive + Oak on Saturday.
Getting around St. Louis
St. Louis, like most midwestern cities, is largely car dependent if traveling between different neighborhoods. Uber/Lyft are readily available from the airport into the city and throughout the city. Car rentals are also available at the airport.
